Lenox— On Saturday, May 2nd at 2 p.m., Berkshire Opera Festival invites audiences to step into the riveting world of Eleanor of Aquitaine in “Flower and Hawk,” a gripping monodrama by Carlisle Floyd, at Ventfort Hall Mansion & Gilded Age Museum.

This intimate performance, sung in English, brings to life one of the most powerful women of the Middle Ages—queen of two nations, mother of kings, and a commanding political force. Set during her imprisonment in Salisbury Tower, “Flower and Hawk” unfolds as Eleanor reflects on the triumphs and betrayals that shaped her extraordinary life.

The performance stars soprano Ashley Marie Robillard, a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and award recipient from the Gerda Lissner Foundation and Opera Index, whose vibrant artistry brings Eleanor’s story to life. She is accompanied by pianist Grant Loehnig, Head of Music Staff at Opera Philadelphia and Master Opera Coach at the Curtis Institute of Music.

The performance is on Saturday, May 2nd at 2 p.m. at Ventfort Hall Mansion & Gilded Age Museum, located at 104 Walker Street in Lenox. Following the performance, audience members are invited to stay for a post-show chat and Q&A with light refreshments. Tickets and more information can be found online.
