SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Home Made Theater is seeking talented young performers, ages approximately 12 through 16, for its upcoming July production of the hit Broadway musical, 13. Auditions will take place on Tuesday, May 13, and Wednesday, May 14, at 6:00 PM at the theater’s headquarters in the Wilton Mall.
Directed and choreographed by Grace Glastetter, with musical direction by Emma Rask, 13 features a high-energy rock score by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Last Five Years).
The story follows Evan Goldman as he is uprooted from his fast-paced life in New York City and moved to a small Indiana town. Facing a new school and a looming Bar Mitzvah, Evan must navigate the complex social hierarchy of middle school—dealing with jocks, cheerleaders, and outcasts alike—to find where he truly fits in.
