Presents a Great Minds Series performance “A Marriage of True Minds”
A Marriage of True Minds, is a staged reading of the correspondence letters between John and Abigail Adams written over the course of several years while he was urging American independence and encouraging help from France during the American Revolution. It is performed as readers theater and was written for the stage in 2003 by Martin P. Kelly. It stars Rita Russell as Abigail and Scott Payne as John Adams.

Performances that bring history back to life
Every performance from the Great Mind Series includes a 1-hour presentation by an actor portraying an individual from the past who made a major impact on the way we live today. Join us while Jeff Stein portrays George Gershwin and speaks with the audience about life growing up in the early 1900’s and how he came to compose “Rhapsody in Blue”. He will then perform this piece as well as other compositions by Gershwin for everyone’s enjoyment.
