On July 14th Murder Cafe, the Hudson Valley’s premier entertainment company now in its 28th year, will be conducting open auditions for its busy fall season. We’ll be at Studio KTM in Red Hook, New York starting at 6:30 pm.
The fun begins on August 19th with a Vaudeville Show at Mohonk Mountain House. Staged outside as part of their summer lawn series, this family-friendly show will feature a variety of acts including comedy, music, magic, puppetry, juggling and whatever else you, or someone you know, can bring to it.
On October 2nd, 3rd and 4th we’ll be bringing Tales from the Underground to the Widow Jane Mine in Rosendale, New York. Guests will be greeted by The Night Watchman and he’ll introduce four historic characters, each of whom made an impact on local history.
We’ll be back at Mohonk Mountain House for the entire Halloween weekend. Guests will be treated to:
- Forest of Fright: a haunted wagon ride that will be interrupted by five different haunted characters including a mysterious Lady in White, an asylum escapee and a grave robber.
- Carnival of Curiosities: a sideshow of oddities ranging from a fortune teller to spooky conjoined twins.
But wait, that’s not all. In October we’ll be bringing our 28th annual Halloween murder mystery to ten different venues. Who’s going to pass up Death Valley Beauty Pageant? There will be seven roles available, and this production is already booked at nine venues.
We pay a minimum of $100 per performance.
Email murdercafe.ny@gmail.com and let us know which production or role interests you and what you can bring to it. Sides are available.
