Pittsfield— On Thursday, September 3rd at 10:45 a.m., Jewish Federation of the Berkshires, as part of their Connecting With Community series, presents “A Look at Life from a Different Perspective” a lighthearted performance by local amateur theater troupe Seniors Acting Up.
With so many challenges facing the world daily, a little laughter is always welcomed. This engaging session features a lineup of short, comedic staged readings designed to bring joy and a fresh perspective to everyday life. The local cast members share a deep, collective love for community theater, which shines through in their spirited and relatable portrayals.
The ensemble was originally founded as “Milton’s Gang” by the late Milton Lestz z”l, who passed away in January 2025. This year’s dedicated group of performers ranges in age from their sixties to eighties and includes Linda Cantoni, Tom and Laura Gardner, Peter McCallion, Peter Podol, Denise Roller, and Diane and Mike Farella. Now performing under the banner of “Seniors Acting Up,” the troupe lovingly dedicates all of their performances to Milton’s memory and continuing theatrical legacy.
This free program is on Thursday, September 3rd at 10:45 a.m. at Knesset Israel, located at 16 Colt Road in Pittsfield. Reservations and more information can be found online.
Following the program, there will be a conversation with a home-cooked kosher lunch around our community table. The lunch must be reserved by calling 413-442-2200 by Wednesday, September 2nd at 9 a.m. For the lunch portion, a suggested donation of $3 is requested for adults over age 60, and $7 for all others.
