Get ready to travel back to the golden age of close-harmony singing as Springfield Community Theater of MA presents the hilarious, heartwarming musical comedy Forever Plaid at 52 Sumner in Springfield!
Meet the Plaids — four talented young singers whose dreams of musical stardom are suddenly cut short before they ever reach the spotlight. But fate gives them one miraculous second chance to return and perform the concert they never got to give. What follows is a joyful evening packed with dazzling harmonies, classic songs of the 1950s and early ’60s, laugh-out-loud comedy, and plenty of heart.
The Springfield production stars Billy Ray Poli as Francis, Ashley Duplessis as Jinx, Ashton Greene as Smudge, and Craig Duda as Sparky, with Tony Ruggerio as Stage Manager. The production is directed by Gus Rousseau, with Ben Mabrey as Music Director, and is produced by Vana Nespor and Angela Park for Springfield Community Theater of MA / 52 Sumner.

Forever Plaid is an affectionate, lighthearted musical that pays homage to the close-harmony “guy groups” of the 1950s and early 60s. The show features lush, four-part close harmonies of popular hits from the era, including: “Three Coins in the Fountain”, “Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing”, “Sixteen Tons”, “Heart and Soul. And it is known for “playful patter,” boyish bickering, and “overzealous precision” in choreography, and, audience participation!
