I’m looking for someone who would be interested in volunteering to film the Saturday, November 21 performance of my original stage play, THERE IS HOPE, at Mount Ida Preservation Hall in Troy, NY. The performance begins at 7:00 PM and runs approximately 2½ hours.

THERE IS HOPE follows Kevin, a man struggling to move forward after the end of his marriage, and Lucy, a woman carrying her own emotional scars. After meeting unexpectedly, the two form a connection that gradually forces both of them to confront their pasts, their fears, and the question of whether it’s possible to find hope—and love—after life has taken an unexpected turn. The play combines drama, comedy, romance, and a number of supporting characters and flashback scenes that help tell their stories.

This is a volunteer position. I’m primarily looking for someone with an interest in filmmaking, videography, or recording live theatre who would enjoy helping us preserve the production on video.

Because filming a stage production involves knowing where the actors will be and how the performance space is arranged, I’d be happy to meet with you at Mount Ida ahead of the performance. We can walk through the venue, look at how the performing area and audience will be set up, discuss possible camera placement, and go over anything else that would help you prepare before November 21.

If you’re interested—or know someone who might be—please feel free to reach out to me directly. I’d be happy to provide more information about the production and what we’re looking for.

Thanks!
