The story: When Molly Egan, a feisty, salt-tongued activist nun appears before Henry Pulaski, a cantankerous conservative judge, for picketing a local nuclear arms research facility, their differences seem insurmountable. But as Molly is hauled back repeatedly into his court, playwright William Gibson (The Miracle Worker) reveals with humor and pathos the way their rocky personal stories collide.
The cast and crew: Following his extensive work as an actor, stage manager and director, recent Russell Sage College graduate Cameron Richardson returns to Theater Voices to direct this two-hander featuring Eileen Schuyler and John Romeo.
Theater Voices is a not-for-profit organization under IRS 501(c)(3). We are a company of dedicated theater professionals presenting both new and classic works with the specific goal of emphasizing the richness of the playwright’s language. The company’s productions are presented as fully staged, script-in-hand readings with minimal use of scenery and costumes. The simplicity of this format has allowed the company to bring professional theater to Capital Region audiences free of charge for over three decades.
