Albany Lyric Opera, a new initiative growing out of Fallen Chandelier Productions, whose longstanding work in musical theater is now expanding into the world of opera.
We would love to invite your company to join us for an informational meeting on November 1 from 12:00–1:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Town Library 451 Delaware Avenue, Albany New York to learn more about our vision, share ideas, and explore opportunities to collaborate in bringing opera to the Capital Region.
Our goals for Albany Lyric Opera include:
• Expanding access to opera throughout the Capital Region, where opportunities to experience this art form have historically been limited.
• Training young singers ages 8–18 in healthy vocal technique
• Creating performance opportunities for adult artists.
• Hosting opera workshops right here in Albany.
• Building a vibrant community of singers, theater artists, supporters, and audiences who share a love of the performing arts.
While we know that there are Musical Theatre opportunities in the Capital District, we have long wondered why there is no opera being offered. We believe that there are many classical singers in the area that would be so grateful for the opportunity to perform in staged classical works.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions at mailto:fachastage@gmail.com or (518) 526-4263.
Thank you for all you do to support the performing arts in our region. We hope you can join us. If you cannot join, but still would like to be involved, please reach out!
Warmly,
Francesca DelSignore
