Smith College Department of Theatre presents AUDITIONS for

ANTIGONE, PRESENTED BY THE GIRLS OF ST. CATHERINE’S

by Madhuri Shekar
directed by Tabitha Reid

In this fast-paced portrait of mid-90s teenage girlhood, the St. Catherine’s drama club is struggling to put up its first school play—Sophocles’ Antigone. Staging this tragedy at a strict, all girls’ Catholic school is challenging enough, but when an unforgivable betrayal rocks their tight-knit community, the girls are forced to grapple with questions of friendship, righteousness, and whether (or not) the show must go on.
