The Dorset Players’ 22nd One-Act Festival will be March 5-7, 2027, and our theme is “Make ‘Em Laugh”. We are looking for directors with a short, comedic play in mind. We’d love to see what you have!
Interested? Curious? Bring us your ideas! Over the 21 years of putting on our one-act festival, we have discovered some highly talented directors who have never directed before, and who have gone on to direct full plays. Becoming a director with the Dorset Players requires either experience directing a play at another theater, or directing a one-act with us, so this is your opportunity to shine!
Visit us at www.dorsetplayers.org for more information, and please bring your submission(s) to the Dorset Playhouse, 104 Cheney Rd. Dorset, on November 10th at 6pm. We would love to meet you, and listen to your pitch. Subsequently, we will review the scripts and let you know whether we are interested in producing your submission. We will be able to suggest short scripts for those of you without a project in mind.
We look forward to seeing you on November 10th!
