Join us for this twilight event featuring abstract lantern puppets, poetry and sound — all under the nighttime sky.

The New England Puppet Intensive‘s Lantern Pop-Up is an opportunity to celebrate this unique moment, as we emerge from a long year of social isolation and pandemic challenges. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the emergence of in-person art making, and create an opportunity for reflection as a community.

Directed by David Lane, MFA, the event will feature the work of MCLA Summer Research Institute Fellows, Abby Daggett and Alex Aleksandrov, and an ensemble of players from the MCLA Theatre Program, Alumni, and North Adams Community.

Time: Saturday, July 17, 8:45 pm

Location: MCLA Academic Quad (East side of Bowman Hall / Main Library Entrance)

Runtime: 35 mins.

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Bring a lawn-chair or a blanket, but expect to move a little bit from location to location along with the performance.
