Please join us for auditions for Tell Me That You’ll Not Forget Me, a collaboration between Historic Cherry Hill, Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate New York, and Siena College. Tell Me is an original play by Megan Stuart and Emily Furlong that examines black life in Albany in the 19th century through the lens of the Knapp and Van Rensselaer families at Cherry Hill.

The production will be directed by Jean-Remy Monnay, with performance dates of June 17-19, and 24-26.

Auditions will be held at Siena College in room 107 Foy Hall from 7 PM-9 PM on Monday March 28 and Tuesday March 29.

Available roles include:

-Jimmy Knapp: Well-dressed and well-spoken musician, frequent guest at Cherry Hill, Black, 38.

-Minnie Knapp: Jimmy’s sister, lives at Cherry Hill , Black, 27.

-Jennie Prest: Jimmy’s girlfriend, Black, 30.

-Hattie Gould: A member of the Cherry Hill family, white, 36.

-Aunt Hat: Hattie’s mother and the Cherry Hill matriarch, white, 64.

-Kittie Putman: Hattie’s cousin, raised by Aunt Hat when her mother died, white, 22.

-Bertie Bryant: A cousin by marriage of Jimmy’s, she and her father operate a store on Green Island, Black, 25.
