Glens Falls Community Theater has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a 20’s something female actor to play multiple roles in a production of Radium Girls, scheduled to open at the Wood Theater in Glens Falls on 9/22/22.

Radium Girls dramatizes the story of several young women from Orange, New Jersey who developed radium poisoning as a result of their employment with the U.S. Radium Corporation during the late 1910s and early 1920s.  The girls were watch dial painters, whose delicate fingers were required to paint dials with radium-laced, glow-in-the-dark paint.  The painting process involved licking the paint brushes in order to achieve a fine point, ingesting the radium-laced paint with each lick of the brush.

The open role includes the role of Kathryn, one of the dial painters, and several smaller roles representing community members.

If interested and available for immediate rehearsals, please contact director Barbara Miner at barbaraaminer@gmail.com with Radium Girls in the subject line.
