For nearly 50 years, the Ghent Playhouse has consistently presented only the very best stage productions each season. Since moving from the Spencertown Academy to the Ghent Playhouse, the Pantoloons have been a welcomed addition.

Unfortunately, due to a large and unexpected surge in Covid and flu-related illness, affecting the cast and crew of this year’s Panto, Beauty and the Beast, the Loons have regrettably been forced to cancel.

Please know that the Ghent Playhouse is as disappointed as you are. The ‘Loons’ and the Panto have been a holiday favorite since 2000 and continue to be one of our most anticipated productions each and every year. We trust, however, that you will understand and appreciate their decision to cancel. Although things are getting better, Covid continues to plague our lives every day in so many ways. We do hope things will continue to improve and that they will be back on our stage again next year.
