Troy, NY – Over the past decade, Creative Action Unlimited (CAU) has produced over 15 original stage and film productions rooted in social justice, community storytelling and creative resistance.

On Sunday, July 13, CAU will be holding its 10th Anniversary Celebration at the Arts Center of the Capital Region, 265 River St., Troy, NY, from 1-3 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Those who are able are encouraged to make a donation in increments of $10 to honor a decade of powerful theater.

The event will feature a special thank you to artists, supporters and long-time collaborators. In addition to excerpts from some of our films (featuring David Quiñones Jr., Siobhan Shea, Diaka Kaba Hill and D. Colin), CAU will showcase actors presenting live scenes from past productions including Jae Gayle and Michael A. Lake from “Sides”; Stephanie Frances and William Billy Spillane from “Epicenter”; Tony Pallone from “Any Addict”; and CAU founder and artistic director, Michael Kennedy, from “Michael and Steve Talk About the End of Life As They Knew It.” Finally, CAU will be announcing their 2025-’26 season at the celebration.

Creative Action Unlimited obtained its 501(c)(3) status in 2020. The organization works with numerous artists and performers from the surrounding community. Its continued growth is reflected in additional offerings that now include the Creative Action Playback Theater Company, the Social Justice Artists Collective, and Perspectives: A Creative Action Unlimited Podcast.
