Theater Voices is proud to present its 38th season!

Oct. 17-19, 2025: The Children
by Lucy Kirkwood, directed by Patricia Bunce
Two retired nuclear scientists live in an isolated cottage by the sea as the world around them crumbles. Together they plan to live forever on yogurt and yoga, until an old friend arrives with a frightening request.
“Grips compulsively.”(The Guardian)
“A richly suggestive and beautifully written piece of work … Kirkwood is the most rewarding dramatist of her generation.” (The Independent)

Feb. 6-8, 2026: Time Stands Still
by Donald Margulies, directed by Eleah Jayne Peal
The partnership between a photojournalist and a foreign correspondent is based upon telling the toughest stories and, together, making a difference. But when their own story takes a sudden turn, the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life.
“Margulies’ dialogue crackles with bright wit and intelligence … the range of feeling it explores is wide and deep.” (New York Times)
“Compellingly demonstrates what a master playwright can do with great economy and efficiency … A rare play that encompasses universal issues and personal problems with equal compassionate insight.” (Bloomberg)

March 27-29, 2026: “MASTER HAROLD”…and the boys
by Athol Fugard, directed by Jean-Remy Monnay
A white teen who has grown up in the affectionate company of the two Black waiters who work in his mother’s tearoom in Port Elizabeth learns that his alcoholic father is on his way home from the hospital. This unwelcome news and the ensuing rage unwittingly trigger his inevitable passage into the culture of hatred fostered by apartheid.
“It is a triumph of playmaking, and unforgettable.”(New York Post)
“Fugard creates a blistering fusion of the personal and the political.”(New York Times)

May 15-17, 2026: Below the Belt
by Richard Dresser, directed by David Baecker
In a mysterious, remote world dominated by corporate bureaucracy, three men grind away at their jobs in a grim, fenced industrial compound, furnished only with bunks, a table and an ancient typewriter, while sinister animals with yellow eyes encroach upon them. Richard Dresser’s dystopian comedy hilariously chronicles their maneuvers in the pointless quest for status.
“Gloriously funny but also wickedly insightful.”(The New York Post)
