On Saturday, May 16th at 7:30 p.m., Bennington Theater presents “Patient 13,” a dark comedy about love, cancer, and magic mushrooms.

Chronically single but up for adventure, Gail Thomas’s life is turned upside down when she faces a scary medical diagnosis leading to participation in a magic mushroom-driven FDA study. Winner of 2024 LA Progressive Progie and LA Hidden Gems Awards, “Patient 13” is described as a “trippy rollercoaster of questionable advice, hilarious introspection, and profound clarity.”

“Gail’s psychedelic trip report definitely stands out!” — Michael Pollan, Author of How to Change Your Mind.

“A moving … always entertaining one-woman show that dares delve into taboo topics typically overlooked by romcoms. Artistically acted …”- Ed Ramplell, Hollywood Progressive

“….This is a show that is not afraid of darkness, but for all its talk of death, depression, anxiety and medical nightmares, it has something quirky and uplifting about it, and the comedy really lands…” — Amanda Callas, BroadwayWorld
