GREENFIELD, MA — The Comedy Project announces its first matinee, “Old Hippies… New Hips: Reflections on Decaying in Place,” on Sunday, June 28, 2 p.m. at The LAVA Center, 324 Main St., Greenfield. People of all ages are welcome to get a glimpse of the future.
“My friends are old,” according to producer Andrea CK, “and our usual fourth Thursday shows at 7 p.m. are way past their bedtimes. This matinee is starting at 2 p.m., so they can get to the early bird special at the restaurant by 4 p.m. and be in their pajamas by 6 p.m.”
“Old Hippies… New Hips” will feature four outstanding comics; all of whom are old and most of them do have bad hips. The incomparable Henry Balzarini will host. Award-winning storytellers Marian Kelner and David Bulley will share their reflections on aging. Paul Bennett and Andrea CK fill out the show with their comedy sets with all new old material. Plus, the first local appearance of “Stars in Their Eyes” live lip syncing — featuring dancing girls Tess, Sandy and Marsha.
