The Lake George Dinner Theatre, a professional Equity company, is looking for a Props Designer for their upcoming production of The 39 Steps. Rehearsals begin on August 31st with tech beginning on September 12th. The show opens on September 18th, 2026. This position would begin immediately.
Ideal candidate would have experience designing, building, and purchasing props for a production. Person is expected to be on hand and available during tech week (9/12-9/18). Responsibilities would include overseeing the procurement of the properties for the productions, including any items that need to be constructed. Maintain the properties throughout the season, including repairing or replacing as needed. Communicate and coordinate with the Production Manager and Design Team on schedules, deadlines, purchasing and delivery of props. Provide all necessary and requested props for rehearsals of each season production by the date requested by the Director and Stage Management. Attend production meetings and rehearsals (as needed) and be readily available for technical and dress rehearsals.
Lake George Dinner Theatre is located in Lake George, NY with rehearsals taking place in Glens Falls, NY.
This position will be paid as an independent contractor. The fee for this position is $1,250.00.
