The New Russia Cultural Center is holding auditions for their American premiere of F. Gorenstein’s play “After Yesterday” directed by Oleg Golub.
Gorenstein, best known for scripting the 1972 film “Solaris”, portrays the everyday life of a Jewish family after the Holocaust in Central Ukraine. It is an unsentimental story about post-Holocaust Jews, separated from their culture, history and people, who nonetheless survive through laughter and tears.
The cast of 15 include:
Rachel — a woman in her forties
Zlota — her older sister
Vilya — her nephew (as teen, then as adult)
Sumer — her brother, a man in his fifties
Ruzya — a woman in her twenties
Performance dates: 01/07/22 – 01/16/22
Auditions will be held on:
Saturday, October 9 11am-1pm
Monday, October 11 5-7 pm
Other audition times can be scheduled for October 13, 14, 15, 18 and 20 — please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 518-382-9438.
