New Lebanon, NY—HRC Showcase Theatre, previously based in Hudson, New York, has resumed its staged readings of original plays at a new location.  In September, 2021, following a hiatus due to the pandemic, the company performed Jerry Slaff’s “Lies” at The Theater Barn in New Lebanon, New York.  That venue will now serve as HRC’s home for four productions in 2022.

The plays, winners of HRC’s nationwide playwriting competition, will be directed by Artistic Director Barbara Waldinger, and performed by professional actors.  A talkback featuring the playwright, director and cast members, will follow each staged reading.

The schedule for the 2022 season:

Saturday, May 7, 7:30 p.m.:  “For the People” by Carol Mullen
Saturday, June 18, 7:30 p.m.:  “How We Survived” by Pauline David-Sax
Saturday, July 30, 7:30 p.m.:  “Touch the Moon” by Arianna Rose
Saturday, September 10, 7:30 p.m.:  “The Springvale Armadillo” by Donald Loftus
