A Staged Reading of 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother

By Kate Moira Ryan and Judy Gold

Directed by Dianne O’Neill

Part memoir and part stand up routine, this hilarious and affecting play breaks down what makes Jewish mothers so lamentable, laughable and lovable. The authors weave actual interviews with Jewish mothers across the Untied States with memories from Gold’s childhood and her experiences as a mother herself. This piece explores it all: from rugelach to rabbis, matzoh to marriage, Ann Landers to Anne Frank, and from guilt to G-D.
